  • Timbrell Park Community Facilites & Amenities

In the name of progress the City of Canada Bay Council engaged ATCO Structures to demolish and replace their 1970’s brick amenities building with a state-of-the-art modular building at Timbrell Park in Sydney’s inner west.

Timbrell Park is a regional recreational destination ustilised by sports clubs, the general community, fitness groups and individuals, schools, families, and council events. The purpose of upgrading this facility was to improve accessibility, enhance sustainability, and create a diverse space that suits the general public usage.

The architectural design was completed by CM+ and included a 325m2 multipurpose building and a 170m2 amenities building connected by common walkways and a community BBQ area. The building features various forms of exterior cladding and a curved ceiling to floor window.

The amenities building included change rooms, referee/adminstration rooms, first aid room, and canteen with a commercial kitchen. While the multipurpose building consited of a large sport storage room with roller door access, public toilets, and a large sports administration room.

The scope of the job also included new stairs, pathways, and wheelchair access ramps with tactile paving and landscaping (turf and gardens).
