Karratha Bay Village
High-specification, aesthetically pleasing accommodation units were manufactured and installed by ATCO to accommodate Woodside's transient workforce.
The double-storey accommodation buildings were designed in a pod arrangement with each pod containing four pods of four workers' lodgings (regular and accessible configurations) and laundry units. ATCO completed the manufacture of 16 modules per week to meet the required production schedule.
High-specification materials were selected to exceed the usual construction camp finishes and to elevate both the appearance and durability of the camp.
Custom-engineered footings were required for the site and installed in situ, while the verandas and stairs were designed to meet the demands of Karratha's cyclonic season.
Despite a cyclone occurring during the installation of the camp ATCO delivered the project on time and within budget.
